From one Mom to another

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Axton's Blessing

First up to bat ever

First baseball game

Coop had his first baseball game last week!!! It had to be the cutest thing on earth. Surprisingly enough practice paid off. The kids actually knew what they were doing. I thought it was going to be a big mess, but the kids did great! This is one of our dreams....to watch our biggest boy play ball!!!!

Coop and his best buddy Brigham. What do you think they are talking about?

Throw him out buddy! Maybe the catcher will catch it.....but then again most likely not.

He HATED being catcher. The helmet was uncomfortable and it made him hot. Those of you who know Cooper know he HATES being hot. When it is warm he always says...."I am MELTING!!!!" The little heater box.
Ready position
Coach Kenny tell him what's up. The man has to have patience of a saint to deal with all of these little guys.
Getting ready to catch the ball.
Throwing to home plate.
My adorable little girl at the game, squinting from the sun. Honestly does it get any better than this?
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Yankees!!!
Good game...good game...good game...good game. Score...who knows?

Pedi

After our marathon weekend my sister in law Kathryn stayed for the rest of the week and sent her husband up to the frozen waste land also known as Utah. Sorry I am partial to Cali. One of the things we did was go to the mall.....all day. It would have been fun, except I was the only one with 3 kids in tow. Mind you for being at the mall all day they were really good. I mean how good do you expect two BOYS to be at the mall. I set my self up for failure I know. At the end of the day my Mom wanted to get pedicures. I said....ummmm maybe I will pass this time. (remember I still had my 3 balls of energy with me) But, I got conned into it. So to keep my little energy balls focused on being good I let one of them get a pedicure. It was sooooooooo funny. He actually liked it. Besides he got to stare at some good cleavage....yeah baby.

I may be turning him metro, but at least he isn't batting for the other team. Nothing wrong with good hygiene and mommy got to be pampered for 1/2 a second. The things we will do..........

Bike-a-thon

Cooper's school has a bike-a-thon every year....it is.....sooooooooo much fun.....ok no not really. But I am a super supportive, super super mama. Therefore I LOVE the bike-a-thon.

De De and Reggers

Action shots at the super fun bike-a-thon

Carter hasn't started school yet, but he feels so left out if he isn't involved. So being the super supportive, super super mama that I am, I drug two bikes, two helmets, and a baby to the super fun bike-a-thon.

The climax of the super fun bike-a-thon was getting a super awesome pic with a super awesome Cop. What a super FUN morning we had. Just super.

Marathon Weekend

This weekend was truly a marathon weekend. We had a birthday dinner at Benihana on Friday. A double 80th birthday party on Saturday and a baby blessing on Sunday. It was so good to see our family that lives far away. I am still hatching a plan to get my sister and her husband Chris to move down here. I even offered my freakin' house to them and it still wasn't good enough.... :(
Snuggles...my kids LOVE them! Carter cried because Kendra wouldn't sleep with him. How do you explain that she sleeps with Chris now? We will have that talk in about 50 years.
Kendra and I arranged this....we are so proud.
HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY Grandpa and Grandma
I just love her.....
Too many pics of one girl...never. Yummy shoe!
I love my Grandpa! If I look tired it is because I AM!!!! My baby loves to wake up at 5:45 on the dot. We get in a fight every morning and then make up as soon as she smiles.
Great Grandpa Scott. I am so happy my kids get to spend time with him.
Grand kid and Great Grand kid shot
Entire group shot. The whole family is there except a few.
Happy blessing day baby Brynna. This is the dress that will be used to bless all of the baby girls in our family.
WAX PARTY!!!!
Kendra is an estitician...so everyone in the family got something waxed. Mom, Dad, Cade, Kevin, Bryan, and Cade got their nose hairs waxed. You heard me....NOSE hairs waxed. I opted just to get my eye brows, hairy upper lip, and chin waxed.
Cade's looked like a boar hair tooth brush. That is how much hair came out of his nose. For some reason he was inclined to pet and hold his nose hair pop for an extra long time. Now the inside of his nose is as smooth as a baby's butt. Just in case you are so inclined to stroke the inside of his nose.
Checking out the view of their new hair less noses. Sweet family bonding time.
I WANT EVERYONE TO COME BACK NOW!!! Boo Hoo Hoo...... I miss them.
