Cabin 2009

The day after Christmas we headed to snowy Colorado for our annual snowmobiling trip.
This year Cooper got to go on a trail ride and drive his own snowmobile. He was super excited and felt like a big man because he got to do this. Cade and I were so proud of him. We used to dream of the day our kids would be big enough to go on trail rides and drive their own sleds. Thanks for making one our dreams come true Coop!
Up on the mountain somewhere.

The lodge
Most of the time we played with the kids in the meadow.
This year was the first time Carter got to drive his own snowmobile all by himself in the meadow. Needless to say he LOVED it and felt so big! Another dream come true!

The bunk house.
Carter and Cooper.
Cooper liked the extra power the 600s have. He got a big smile when he got to drive this one!

Family night ride. Grandma came along to and Reagan HAD to ride with her. She was pretty much attached to Grandma's hip the whole trip. That girl has a special place in her heart for her Grandmothers!
Grandma Mack making a turn.
It was snowing and dark and WONDERFUL!
What are these you ask? These are some of the best rolls on the planet.
Grandpa Mack took us on a trail ride to the camp ground. It was a perfect ride for the kids and it was snowing like crazy the whole time. I loved it!

Cole and Keston came too.
Carter rode with Daddy. He thought that was the greatest thing in the whole world because, "Daddy goes off the trail!!!" Cade takes him all over and powder flies up in their face. Couldn't possible make this boy any happier!!!!
Playing in the snow.
The snow was so deep!
One of the things I love so much about this place is there it is in the middle of a national forest and so the scenery is unreal! Every time we are up there it takes my breath away.
Along the way Grandpa Mack stopped and had Cooper get off his sled. He took him to the edge of the cliff and explained that if we don't follow the rules we could end up down that cliff and you don't want to do that. Cooper agreed. Thank you so much Crea for taking the time to teach Cooper. It means the world to us.
Cade and Carter

I have to say that this trip Cole was super uncle. I know the boys are sometimes hard to deal with because they always want to be around Cole and play with him. They look up to him so much and think that everything he does is the coolest EVER! Cole was so patient and kind and let them play X-box with him, be where he was a lot of the time, and he even took them sledding. You ROCK Cole!

When it was time to clean up and head home Reagan was my little shadow and insisted that I take a million pics of her. Here are just a few.

Big Daddy.

The loft where the kids sleep.

Cole man chew...as Cade calls him.

So after we packed up we headed back to the McMullins house. Here is Grandpa Mack playing the guitar with Reaggers.

We had fun in the hot tub!

Grandma Mack read lots of stories.

After we got back to Cade's parents house the next day we had a visit with some of Cade's best friends from growing up. You know you mean a lot to Cade when Cade makes everyone come home a day early from SNOWMOBILING, his favorite thing in the whole world, to come and see you. We love you guys and had so much fun seeing you!
Jason Ott, Tyler Carlson, and Cade. Later that night we went over to Cort and Tara's house. I forgot my camera though.

The next day we went to the Butterfly pavilion before we had to leave that night.

The boys and Cade held Rosie the tarantula.

We tried to get Reagan to come and hold Rosie, but if you can't tell by the expression on her face, she was NOT going over there. That's ok. Neither was Mommy!

Looking at the bugs. Do you see all of thoes roaches on the log????

Madagascar cockroach.....ewwwww!

They have a section with sea stars and the kids thought it was the coolest EVER!

Sissy really loved it!

Owl butterfly

The kids loved it when the butterflies would land on them.

These are all of the crysalises from butterflies all over the world. I love the shiny ones towards the top.

Zip line!

Climping a spider web.

And thus concluded our wild and crazy trip to Colorado. We did a ton and when we got home colapsed! It is a trip that we always look forward to and are grateful to go on. Thank you so much Crea and Martha for always being so happy to have us there. We wouldn't miss it for the world!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas Morning!!!!!!

This Christmas we celebrated Christmas morning in our own home. It was so fun to wake up to the kids excitement. Cooper woke up at 4:30 in the morning......I made him sleep with us until it was a decent hour and the rest of the kids woke up.

Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Mack for all of our fun gifts!!
Reg got some make up because she always assaults mine when I am getting ready in the morning. Now I just set hers up next to mine and we do makeup together. She loves it and so do I!!

Don't you think she did a good job putting it on?

That evening we went to my parents house and exchanged gifts.

I gave my Mom a book called Llama llama mad a mama because when I was little I used to call llamas mamas!

We had so much fun! Thanks for all of the fun gifts everyone!!

Christmas Eve

We headed down to Newport for Christmas Eve. My Mom made an amazing dinner and we got to hang out with the fam. We played Christmas Bingo.

We read Christmas Stories.

Played Christmas Charades. Coop was an ornament.

Kathryn a star.....I think....

Kevin guessing.

Kendra was a snowman. And then.....

SANTA CAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the BEST EVER!!! Santa used to come to my Grandma and Grandpa Scott's house and now that they have passed away, Santa comes to my parents house. It brought back so many memories from when I was little. This made my year!

Carter loved Santa.

Reagan wasn't sure.

And we all love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grandma Scott loves him most of all!!!! It was such a wonderful Christmas Eve!

Christmas Bed

Cooper used all of the things he made at school to decorate his bed with and I thought it was super cute!

Love this!

Our truest life is when we are in dreams awake.
~Henry David Thoreau

I love this because my little family is such a dream. It is definitely not perfect, but in our imperfections it is perfect. I just got done reading a girl's blog whose baby is really really sick. There is almost nothing worse in this whole wide world. I would take any trial over one of my family members life being in danger. I am so grateful for this life I have been given and hope to make the quote above more true every day.

Do the things that makes your heart race faster!
